Covid affected the Art world

This is Mohanan from Trivandrum. Before the pandemic, Mohanan worked as a skilled sculptor, crafting art that resonated deeply. Covid disrupted the art world and he found himself jobless.

“When I lost my job, I was desperate. Plastic Fischer not only provided me with a stable income but also gave me a sense of purpose. Now, I'm proud to support my family by cleaning our hometown."

From part-time to full-time

This is Shailesh from Mangalore. Before joining Plastic Fischer, he used to face delayed salary payouts which made it impossible for him to meet his loan dues.

Financial Security and Purpose

This is Aslah from Bandung. He formerly worked as a driver and waste sorter before losing his jobs through the pandemic before joining Plastic Fischer Indonesia in August 2023.

“I learned in my previous job that plastic has a value that is often thrown away. I am proud to now contribute to a cleaner environment around the Citarum River. I am happy to have financial stability but also feel good to have a job with deeper purpose.”

This is Arjun from Varanasi. Before becoming part of the team in June 2021, he had several jobs that jeopardized his health and the insufficient income didn't allow him to send his children to school and he was indebted.

Our TrashBoom is designed to effectively stop macro plastic. The passive system is there to block, not to “catch” anything. Fish are not entangled in the rigid mesh and can swim underneath the barrier.
