Our TrashBoom is designed to effectively stop macro plastic. The passive system is there to block, not to “catch” anything. Fish are not entangled in the rigid mesh and can swim underneath the barrier.

RECYCLING

Once in a while, the team has to travel to existing or new project sites. We avoid in-person meetings as much as possible, but sometimes it is crucial to have a face-to-face conversation instead of a video call.

TRACKING

Every kilogram that we collect from the rivers are registered in a third-party app from Empower AS. We ensure that all volumes are accurately tracked and nothing is double accounted.
TRANSPORT

We transport people and River Plastic to and from all of our sites daily. The material is brought to our Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) to ensure the best possible processing.
DRYING

Before sorting the material, we dry it. We use the natural sunlight to get rid of the majority of moisture. Additionally, we sometimes use a drying machine to further dry it.
